What the market is like

Northern Virginia is dense. County lines run through shopping centers, and a customer in Chantilly might be closer to a business in Fairfax or Loudoun than to one on their own side. Google’s local results depend heavily on how near the searcher is, so the same query can show different businesses a few miles apart. That means service-area setup, accurate categories and consistent listings matter more than they might elsewhere.

Same search, a few miles apart, different businesses.

Chantilly, Fairfax and Loudoun

Chantilly

Chantilly’s mail area crosses the Fairfax and Loudoun line. ZIP 20151 is generally on the Fairfax side and 20152 on the Loudoun side, and your service area may cross the line. Which county sits in your address matters to some local rules, but searchers mostly don’t think in counties.

Fairfax

Dense, competitive and full of overlapping service areas. If you serve it, say which parts, so your pages aren’t just a list of every place name.

Loudoun

Growing fast and spread out. Businesses there often serve several towns from one base, which makes service-area pages and a clear Business Profile worth the effort.

These are separate paragraphs on one page. We don’t make a page per town just to catch searches; that doesn’t help anyone.

Who we write for

These are the kinds of businesses whose search problems we know. None of them are named clients.

  • Home services.

HVAC, roofing, plumbing and the like. Service-area setup and the map pack are your main fight.

  • Healthcare practices.

We don’t take patient data. Not in tools, not in forms, not in files. We don’t sign BAAs, so if you need one, we aren’t the right fit. (Read the caveat)

  • Law firms.

We write what you approve, and you stay responsible for following the Virginia State Bar’s advertising rules. (Read the caveat)

  • Restaurants.

Menus, hours and reviews on the Business Profile.

  • Government contractors.

SEO helps people find your capability pages and company details. SEO doesn’t win contracts. (Read the caveat)
